SAO Lab. studies how complex systems can be analyzed and optimized using data, artificial intelligence, and simulation. We develop computational models and decision-support methods that translate system dynamics into actionable insights for real-world systems such as transportation, logistics, smart infrastructure, and public safety.
Research Methods
Data Analytics focuses on extracting meaningful insights from data using statistical and exploratory analysis techniques. It helps identify patterns, trends, and relationships in data to support evidence-based understanding of complex systems.
Modeling & Simulation represents complex real-world systems through computational models and simulation experiments. It enables researchers to analyze system behavior, evaluate alternative scenarios, and design effective operational strategies.
Reinforcement Learning studies how intelligent agents learn optimal decision policies through interaction with dynamic environments. It provides powerful methods for solving complex sequential decision and control problems.
